Nashville Personal Trainer Rebuke Saggy Arms!

Share

Are you apprehensive about wearing sleeveless shirts? Are you afraid of waving bye to your friends when they're leaving? Then I think you'll agree that its about time to get rid of those flabby underarms! I'm going to give you 5 key things to that needs to be done in order to make that happen.

  1. Focus on the Muscle
The muscles on the back of your arm, where your underarm sags, are your triceps. Knowing that, you’re going to want to focus on exercises that target your triceps. But before you do that, you've got to consider something else that is more basic than overcoming flabby arms.
  2. Remember, Your Whole Body Is the Key
When you have fat stored in your arms or anywhere else on your body, you can't make it disappear magically by ONLY doing exercises that target that area . You have to tone up your whole body as a WHOLE. Therefore, along with triceps-targeted exercises, cardio has to be involved in your exercise routine. This will get you burning a high amount of calories and help you melt fat from your head to your toes.
Also, neglecting full-body exercise, may cause your underarm area to reap very little visible results for your triceps. So before you spend hours in the gym, working on your triceps, you should spend half amount of time on other areas of your body as well.
  3. Feel the Burn
If you stop working just when as soon as you start sweating or feeling a little fatigue, you're not working your triceps out enough and as a result you won't see the results that you'd like. The only way to tone and sculpt your triceps like you want, you're going to have to turn up the intensity. Now that doesn't mean you should workout 1-3 hours a day. Like every other body part, your triceps need adequate rest to grow and develop.
Good exercises that are tailored specifically for your triceps include the following:
    • Close-grip push-ups with your hands close together or touching
    • seated bench dips
    • side tri-raise
    • parallel dips
    • dumbbell triceps presses
  4. Take the Surgery Route
Admittedly, for a small amount of people, getting rid of underarm flab isn't easy by far. For someone who has lost a large amount of weight, they may be left with excess skin on various parts of their bodies - including the back of their arm. If you find yourself having extra skin hanging off the back of your arms that ISN'T FAT, you may need to have that extra skin surgically removed. This is a relatively fast and easy procedure. But don't be so quick to use surgery as an easy way out to trim your arms.
You should only resort to surgery when medically necessary and there is no other way to trim up your triceps. I would suggest you to make that decision you've reached your weight loss goal and maintained it for a year.
Keep in mind also that once you undergo surgery, you still have to be careful to avoid regaining the saggy arms you had removed.
  5. Don't Quit
It may take some time to get rid of the saggyness under your arm, but if you stay consistent and focused on the arms to die for that you desire, your effort and hard work won't be in vain. So know what you want, challenge yourself to reach it, and never give up. With perseverance and plenty of hard work, you'll have the arms you've always wanted!

Stay Focused...
"Now think about instances when you didn't let setbacks stop you from reaching your goal. When have you and when haven't you persevered, and what was the difference between the two experiences?"
