MOTIVATION FRIDAY: The Key to Getting What You Want

Share

The very act of setting goals in your life will activate all the mental laws in your favor. It will be as though all the switches were flipped and the afterburners in potential were turned on.

Goals will give you the clear sense of direction and the knowledge that your life is self-determined. Goals give you a sense of power and purpose and channel energy in a feeling that everything that happens to you is part of an organized plan that is taking you step by step toward the attainment of your desire.

In my opinion, the ability to set goals and make plans for their accomplishment is really the master skill of success.

The regular habit of goal setting and goal achieving is probably more important that anything els you could ever learn.

But this is something you already know right? You've set goals many times. In the beginning everything is going smoothly. You're excited. You have clarity as to where you're headed, aand you have a sense of calmness because there's no uncetainty. Now maybe this has happened to you or someone you know where you have plateaued and haven’t made any progress. Has that happened to you? Then what can happen is people give up and slide back down to where they started.

That regression is usually caused by 1 thing: Fear

Fear is very detrimental. It goes to work on us subconsciously and sabotages our best intentions. If fact, as you're reading this, you probably feel the impulse to get a pen & paper write down your goals and be every clear about your future. But what will happen in most cases, is that fear will show its face and stumble you. Sometimes is comes consciously in the form of rationalizations and excuses. Sometime fear will manifest itself in the form of procrastination and delay. You'll resolve to write out your goals at a later date and you fall into the "trap of tomorrow." Tomorrow becomes next week, next week becomes next month, next month becomes next year, and so on. 97% of the time, you will never do it.

The thing is, each individual knows that he or she was put on this earth with amazing capabilities! We all know that there is something better than this.

"Even time indefinite he has put in their heart..." ~King Solomon

Your thoughts and your imagination are the only real limits to your possibilities. You have to think and VISUALIZE yourself as a leader and do what leaders do. You need to set goals that draw out the very best that is in you. Work towards objective that cause you to feel a sense of mastery and peak performance. and it all begins with a pad of paper, a pen and YOU.

Showtime...

Cheers,

Rickey
